おとえもん さん、この件は私はわからないのでちょっとMikeに聞いて見たところ以下のような返答です。原文も添付しますが 長いです。^^;
まずSA5もSA5000も非常に低い周波数を通しますが もし電源が完璧に安定していないと B+電源がドリフトするようです。またレギュレーターはかちがちにフィードバックをかけるタイプではないのでそれもあるようです。(音質上の理由からだと思われます)
それでUnMuteの時にパルス状の電圧ドリフトが起こりえる（0-1.0mV近辺）ようでこれがPOPやクリックノイズとして出て来るということらしいです。
対策１：ラインステージのアウトプットコンデンサーの値を小さくする。
（低周波をカット）
因みに日本のユーザーや評論家はは異常なほどPOPノイズに神経質だそうで、
ウーハーが3ミリ動いたらパニックだったとMikeが以前嘆いていました。笑
それでノアはやりたくないものの日本でこの改造を独自にしていたようです。この改造が音を良くすることはありません。私は気にしませんが。。。。
パワーアンプなどでは通常遅延リレーとタイマーで対策することもあるようですが余計な接点が増えるだけなので音は悪くなることはあれ良くなることはないと思います。。正規モノのSA12,SA100, SA20, SA220はこの回路がついているものがあります。無いものもありますが。。。。SA5000のバッファードアウトは正規モノの場合ノアで1６Hzハイパスにジャンパーをセットされているそうです。日本以外は全て1.6HZだそうです。(NormalとExtended) 数値はMikeのうる覚えかもしれません。
対策２：POPノイズはそのまま許容する。5WくらいのPOPノイズは気にする必要は無いそうです。その方が周波数特性は良いので もしスピーカーにダメージを与えたり
奥さんや お子さんをひどく驚かせたりしなければご心配なくそのままお使いくださいとのことでした。
尚、電源回りのオーバーホールやアップグレードで改善する可能性は大いにありますし、拙宅では皆無です。
The SA-5 and 5000 both pass signals to very very low frequencies. If the AC mains is not perfectly stable, this will influence the B+ voltage in the preamps -- this is because the voltage regulators are not super high feedback types, so some small percentage of B+ voltage change will occur when the mains voltage changes. When the preamp is muted, no signal can come out. When it is unmuted, the small voltage drift can look like a pulse signal to the power amp (going from 0 volts to 1mV is a step voltage). This can create a "click" or "pop" sound. Same as muting -- going from some small voltage to 0 volts is a step.
Solution 1: reduce the size of the line stage output capacitors to limit low frequency bandwidth. NOAH corp sometimes did this because they understood that many Japanese audiophiles worry a lot about pops. SA5000's imported into Japan by NOAH had the buffered outs set to 16Hz. This is a jumper setting on the motherboard. Everywhere else, the jumpers were set to 1.6Hz.
Solution 2: Do not modify the preamp and accept that it was designed to be very high bandwidth in the low frequencies for good phase response. If the pop sound is not loud enough to damage the speaker or frighten women and children, don't worry about it.
